Sin entered like a venom, quiet, deadly, and spreading through every part of our lives. But on the cross, Jesus didn’t avoid it, He absorbed it. The Lamb of God took the full weight of our sin so its power would be broken over us. And the resurrection proves the venom didn’t win, because the Lamb rose and now reigns. “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29)

Some things look strong on the outside but are already hollow within. The wicked may spread wide and rise quickly, but what is not rooted in God cannot remain. Time reveals what appearance tries to hide, what seems established can suddenly disappear. Stay rooted in the Lord, not impressed by what won’t last. “I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a native green tree. Yet he passed away, and behold, he was no more” (Psalm 37:35–36).

When it looks like evil is winning, the temptation is to get worked up, discouraged, or even envious. But Scripture reminds us that what appears strong now is often short-lived. The righteous are not called to react, they are called to trust, wait, and stay in God’s way. In time, God makes the difference clear: some are cut off, and others are kept. “The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in the time of trouble” (Psalm 37:39).

Trust in the Lord and keep doing good. Delight in Him until His desires begin shaping yours. Commit your way to Him (cast what you cannot carry) and rest in Him with a still heart. And cease from anger, refusing to become the very hate you oppose. “Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness” (Psalm 37:3)

Redemption is never cheap. Scripture reminds us that forgiveness and restoration come at a cost, and the cross reveals the price that was paid for our salvation. What we receive freely through grace was purchased by the sacrifice of Christ. When we remember the cost of redemption, our hearts are moved not only to gratitude but to worship. “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” (Ephesians 1:7).
