In Book #2 of the Core Conviction Series, Matthew Maher offers an
unexpected Voice Apart as the mission of his heart.
Unchained, a compilation of columns written while confined
in prison and continued upon release for a weekly newspaper,
proves that nothing in this world can silence a voice sent
back from the grave of failure to speak life.
“Hi Matt, Thanks for speaking at our Methodist Church in Collingswood this past Sunday. You are definitely showing God’s light in this fallen world.
Don’t lose your passion for the message you bring especially to the young people. This world needs many more like you who are willing to be the “thermostat.”
God Bless you always!”

Matthew Maher has gone from
pro to con to Christ (From the heights
of success to the flatline of failure). As a professional soccer player, he followed
the trends of the world while ignoring the truth of God’s Word.
As a result, in 2009, a life-altering failure would change his trajectory and have him collide head-on with the redemption of the Savior. Now he is no longer persuaded by the trends of the culture around him and is committed to share the truth of Christ within him, whatever the cost.
Truth Over Trend was birthed out of the conviction of redemption.
In 2015, 75% of Americans identified themselves as Christians. And I find myself--given the state of America--wondering how that is even possible? When we look at the cultural hostility towards people of faith and add the stat that we kill1.5 million children in the womb...
It needs to be the goal of every Christian to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God Almighty. So let this be your anthem and momentum! "He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy,nd to walk humbly with your God?" (Micah 6:8)
Don't focus on your problems, that will only make them bigger. But rather focus on God's promises and let Him be your Helper. His Promises > your problems. "And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed" (Deuteronomy 31:8).
Eternal life doesn't just mean life that lasts for eternity (quantity), but it's the kind of life that God, the Eternal One, has in Himself (quality). Thus, eternal life begins when we place our faith in Christ. "This is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life" (I John 2:25).
