Contentment is not based on circumstantial achievement or accomplishment. Contentment is based on Christ’s sacrificial atonement. "Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content" (Philippians 4:11). You see, to be content is not hinged upon situational conditions or material possessions, but rather it's predicated upon our dependence upon a Person--Jesus Christ and His all sufficient sacrifice.
