DENY SELF, DON'T FIND SELF

The most damaging lies we can tell are the ones we tell ourselves, like the one that says, "To thine own self be true." Conversely, the Bible says to deny self, not find self. "Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me" (Matthew 16:24).
