Following Jesus isn’t proven by how strongly we start, but by continuing to trust Him when following Him becomes difficult. Trials don’t have to drive us away from Christ; they can drive us deeper into dependence upon Him. Faith that is tested has an opportunity to become faith that is strengthened. “But he who endures to the end shall be saved” (Matthew 24:13).
