The heart that is set upon the joy of heaven cannot be beset by the sorrow of earth. For when our focus is on things above, the temporary trials and tribulations of this world lose their power to overwhelm us. As it is written: "Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth" (Colossians 3:2).
