FROM PIT TO PRAISE

Psalm 40 reminds us that waiting on God is never wasted time. David began in the pit, but he did not stay there. God heard his cry, lifted him up, established his steps, and put a new song in his mouth. The same God who delivered David ultimately sent Christ to enter our pit of sin and rescue us through His obedience and sacrifice. Faith knows how to wait, how to worship, and how to walk forward trusting that God is still writing the testimony. “But I am poor and needy; Yet the Lord thinks upon me. You are my help and my deliverer; Do not delay, O my God” (Psalm 40:17).
