HOW EMPTINESS becomes WHOLENESS

February 2, 2019

What is emptiness? It's mans attempt at filling a God-shaped hole with worldly dirt. Why?  Because being made out of dirt (flesh), we are attracted to that which we are controlled by. But God put a vacuum in the heart of man to have it “suction” for the beauty of Him. A heavenly pursuit that can only be experienced through the channel of Jesus; yet instead of Jes-us, we make it about-us.  And thus begins the filling and thrilling of fixtures of earth that can only be filled or fixed by the thrill of heaven. In other words, emptiness is a state of perpetual deflation, where no matter the temporary satisfaction, when the high wears off, the leak brings you back low. It’s a losing way to live, and this I know from personal application. So here is how emptiness becomes wholeness: By understanding that the God-shaped key to the hole of the heart is shaped as a cross. It is seeing Calvary’s cross and meeting the fixture there as the touchable piece of heaven that has brought us eternal peace from heaven. His name is Jesus Christ and when His fullness meets my dullness, therein lies true wholeness in life.Emptiness, then, goes from deflation to elation. Filled with joy. The vacuum has found its pull and man has found his pursuit. The pursuit of Jesus--that's how emptiness becomes wholeness.
