KEPT BY SALVATION AND KEEPING SANCTIFICATION

We are kept by salvation, but we keep our sanctification. In other words, although Christ did the work for salvation, we must still work out our salvation. "Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" (Philippians 2:12).
