MERCY THAT MOVES TOWARD THE AFFLICTED

Biblical mercy is more than feeling sorry for someone; it moves toward the hurting with compassion and care. Charity may assist, but true mercy enters the suffering of others the way Christ entered ours. Jesus did not merely send help from Heaven, He came down Himself to lift us up. When mercy moves us toward the afflicted, we reflect the heart of God. “Blessed is he who considers the poor…” (Psalm 41:1).
