M2 presents D2: We can pray to God because the cross has paved the way to God. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." Therefore, you don't have to confess to a priest nor do you have to feel pressed by a religious belief. You can go freely to the Father with boldness because of the Son's righteousness.
