THE DESTRUCTION OF PRIDE

Pride doesn’t always announce itself, it often hides behind confidence, certainty, and the need to be right. It resists correction, rejects humility, and would rather protect its image than pursue truth. But what pride builds, God will eventually break, because He opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble. The safest place for the believer is not in being right, but in being right with God. “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall" (Proverbs 16:18).
