The measure of our spiritual maturity is rarely seen in our response to success, but rather in our response to suffering. So God allows pain into our lives, not only to make us into the image of His Son and to break us out of the carnage of sin, but to reveal to us where we stand with Him. You see, His primary goal is to take us deeper in our faith as we discover the endlessness of His grace.
