It is not our ability to be great but our admission of guilt that makes us eligible for grace. We do not deserve such a generous gift from God, but He delights in lavishing grace upon us when we remain surrendered to Jesus. Those who humble themselves in the sight of the Lord aren't those who are perfect, but those who recognize their need for a perfect atonement. For by grace we have been saved by believing that Jesus is the perfect Savior for imperfect sinners.
