THE PROPER RESPONSE TO DECEPTION

Deception does not become truth simply because everyone believed it. When God exposes what we failed to discern, the proper response is repentance, not denial, silence, or doubling down. Humility admits, “I was deceived,” while pride turns a blind eye to protect its reputation. It is better to acknowledge that you followed the crowd than to keep resisting the voice of the Shepherd. “Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid” (Proverbs 12:1).
