Because life doesn't work out the way some people had hoped, they often turn to the heavens with a cursing fist and say, "God, to hell with you!" And He compassionately replies, "I've already been there for you." I know it may not always seem like God is there or even that He cares, but when He went to the cross for us, He went to hell for us to prove He loves us. The cross didn't look or feel good either, but the cross is God's exclamation to mankind that "I'm willing to die for you to be with you forever."
