One of the greatest acts of faith is remembering what God has already done when you can't understand what He is doing now. Before the psalmist poured out his confusion, he first rehearsed God's faithfulness. Your present circumstances should never be allowed to rewrite God's proven character. When life doesn't make sense, look back before you look around. "We have heard with our ears, O God, Our fathers have told us, The deeds You did in their days, In days of old" ( Psalm 44:1).
