"In a world that is unashamed to fake completeness, the church needs to be unashamed to be real in our brokenness. You see, when we are broken before God--which means we are honest about our need and desperation for Him--then we are able to be whole before man, which allows us to be the direction that leads people back to Him. There is true beauty to be experienced in His grace when we truly recognize the ugliness of our sin. And God will never turn down any dirty sinner--for every particle of dirt and every stain of sin has been covered by the Savior. So let us be UNASHAMED to be BROKEN before GOD."
According to the Law of His Instrument, you may be a surge protector. A surge protector is a power holder, but a surge protector cannot hold power unless it is plugged into the Source of power. Specifically and biblically, being a surge protector is about staying plugged into God's outlet, while protecting those who will find themselves plugged into you. II Corinthians 1:3-4 states, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." In other words, God often allows discomfort that we may know His comfort, in order to make us capable comforters. So like a surge protector, when you are plugged into Him, others can plug into you.
Easter has passed and it is apparent that certain Christian hashtags, like #HeIsRisen, are no longer trending. It seems as if so many are not ashamed of the gospel on a singular day, a day called Resurrection Sunday. Yet the hype has died down. But that doesn’t change the truth that Hope is forever raised and the gospel of Christ is still worthy to be praised. Thus, let us be unashamed in the Name that took away our pain and shame, as we carry the gospel forth in our daily lives and not just during a once a year holiday time.
There is music in our messages. I'm not talking about the use of words to make music, but the inner music that our words make. You see, our Christ-centered example isn't only seen in our living, but even so in what's written. So let us turn our computer keyboards and cellphone keypads into the keys of a piano that strike a biblical chord in the hearts of those who literally are reading us. Whether emails, text messages, Facebook posts, Instagram captions--there is music in our messages. Come out this Thursday evening at 7PM and learn about how our written means of communication can be the very means to share our salvation.
Your ordinary life becomes an extraordinary instrument when you place your "I" into God's hands. And like a pencil, God begins to write out His glory through your story, using you as an instrument of righteousness. Even when you make a mistake, don't lose heart, but learn to use your eraser and accept God's forgiveness as He freely gives it. Therefore, "Write It Out"--His glory--with grace on your heart and mercy on your mind.
One can choose to either surrender to grief or surrender to grace. The former devours, the latter empowers. The Apostle Paul wrote graphically about his "thorn in the flesh," and through such anguish, God gave him an answer. "My grace is sufficient for you!" When we surrender to the grip of grace, like Paul, God holds us up to a higher standard of influence. That's the Law of His Instrument, where it's in His hands that our thorns become thrones for His power to rest upon.
Every farmer knows that if they take care of the land, the land will take care of them--"For whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." Thus, a spiritual farmer is one who, with hard-work and hope, doesn't grow cowardice, but he grows courageous. He plants purpose, cultivates character, and sows the seed of salvation to the soil around him. Essentially, the farmer is who he is today because of the work that he put in yesterday.
Every soldier knows they fight for a greater cause than themselves."You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ." Thus, a spiritual soldier is one who, with singleness of purpose, fights the good fight of faith for Gods glory and for the echo of eternity. The soldier of the valley is not only proved there, he is promoted there.
Every athlete knows there is glory attached to the agony. "Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown." Thus, the spiritual athlete, who plays on the field of faith, knows his training is for eternity and his running the race purposefully is ultimately for Gods glory. Therefore, let us look unto Jesus for our endurance, who not only goes before us, but He also runs with us.
When you are "CALLED to the STAND", trust and know that God will empower you to stand in that calling.
We may be pawns, but we were made to reflect the King of Kings.
"To delay obedience is to delay grace."
To be UNBREAKABLE in your RESOLUTION is to be steady building to your faiths foundation. In other words, the reSOULutions that speak are only as strong as the SOUL that we keep.
