What a humbling reception we had today! The community spirit at “The Room Church” was not only contagious, it was continuous. The Room Church is Pastor Victor Hudson’s church, located in Bordentown, NJ; and it was an honor to be a part of their church family today, as several groups of us met there for worship.
As soon as we arrived, I was greeted by so many of our online community that made our meeting seem familiar and gracious. I can’t express enough how the love and spirit at “The Room Church” enveloped my family and I, as they made room for us, as if they had always known us. Thanks to Pastor Vic and family, our arrival was not only announced, it was pronounced. They went above and beyond with greeting us at the door, escorting us to the floor, and making hospitality their honorable choir. And I’m not even talking about the worship service or even the fellowship of food service after, I’m talking about the service of showing us what to SERVE-‘IS’.
In other words, “The Room Church” family showed us what it means to serve. To SERVE-‘IS’ to show Christ in your service. Let me expound on that actually. Not just showing Him off in your “church service”, but showing Him out in service, which is the purpose of the church. I cannot properly communicate how “Spirit and Truth” had their way today through Pastor Vic and family, and for that we are humbled and honored. And in case you didn’t know, “Spirit and Truth” has a name, it’s Jesus! And He is the reason “The Room Church” felt compelled to serve-us, showing all in attendance what to SERVE actually ‘IS’!
We didn’t deserve it, but by God’s grace alone we accept it. And by His grace alone I’m telling you about it. Nonetheless, it was just the catapult I needed to tackle this week as I have a few radio interviews and speaking engagements. These platforms are again by God’s grace alone. So, I’ll take the spiritual and emotional thrust into these initiatives, knowing that without such support, none of my week’s tasks would be relevant.
And this is the very reason why I iBLOG, because without the “i” standing for individual, inspirational, and influential, then this service would not do justice to what the meaning behind SERVE-‘IS’.
