On Labor Day weekend, I’ll begin a new teaching series at Landmark Church titled “The Last Revelation: Countdown To The Kingdom.” For the past several months, I’ve been studying, praying, and seeking the Lord in preparation for what He desires to do through this journey. The book of Revelation is often neglected, misunderstood, or sensationalized, but in reality, it is one of the most urgent and relevant books for such a time as this. It gives us heaven’s perspective on history, prophecy, and eternity; and I believe God has positioned us to dive into it now, not for speculation, but for transformation.
I approach this series with a theological framework, but at the end of the day, the only work that I truly care to frame is the work of the Lamb who was slain. Revelation is not just a roadmap of end-time events; it is a portrait of Jesus Christ and His redemptive plan for the world. While it reveals the rise of evil and the wrath of God poured out on a Christ-less world, it also magnifies the victory of the Lion-Lamb. My desire is to teach these chapters faithfully, not as abstract prophecy, but as divine truth that has implications for how we live, worship, and stand firm today.
How long do I expect this series to last? Let’s just say, don’t expect a short journey. Judging by my pace in preparation, we might not finish until eternity itself! The depths of Revelation can never be exhausted. But my prayer is that through these teachings, believers will be shaken out of complacency, unbelievers will be awakened to their need for Christ, and the Church will be shown the true makeup of God’s Kingdom. The countdown to the Kingdom is not just a future hope, it is a present reality pressing in on us. May we be ready, watchful, and faithful until He comes.
The book of Revelation isn’t a quick read, it’s a deep well. You can study it for a lifetime and still never touch bottom, because it reveals eternal realities that stretch beyond time itself. That’s the beauty of God’s Word: always deeper, always sharper, always alive. Don’t rush it, receive it. “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near” (Revelation 1:3).
