If it is from God's hand, then it won't pull you away from God's heart. You see, what the Lord gives us is always designed to draw us closer to Himself. "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning" (James 1:17).

God's will doesn't promise to be easy, it simply promises to be best. And since He knows what is best for us, let us trust Him to lead us where He needs us. "I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your Law is within my heart" (Psalm 40:8).

God is willing to use anyone who is willing to be used. "Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths" (Psalm 25:4).

Sometimes the favor of God will keep you from getting fired and sometimes it will lead you into the fire. Yet, both cases come with the peace and presence of Jesus. “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God" (Daniel 3:25).

Are you looking more like Christ or more like the culture? Because light never fits in with darkness, it shines through it and overcomes it. "In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it" (John 1:4-5).

We may be in a post-truth world, but the Churches post in the world is the truth. Thus, let us not allow the world's godless pressure to silence the Word of Truth's power. "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15).
