You’ll find two types of blogs here: long-form (Blog) & short-form (Daily Dose).
The Gospel doesn’t just make bad people behave. It makes dead people live. This isn’t a self-help message, it’s a resurrection miracle. Christ didn’t come to improve us; He came to indwell us. “Even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ…” (Ephesians 2:5).
It is not possible to be obedient to truth if we are compliant to lies. And that's why we need to know the Word of truth so well that we can discern the lies of hell. "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32).
As Christians with biblical conviction, we are called to be islands of courage amid a sea of compromise. And such boldness is only born by spending time with Jesus. "Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and...
If we think God thinks like we think, we need to re-think that thought. You see, true faith knows that God knows infinitely more than we know. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as...
Christ is Lord over all creation, every crown, and every crisis. So to know He is always in control is to have comfort and confidence enter your soul. "Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the...
The truth that hurts is often the same truth that heals. In other words, if it convicts ya, let it fix ya. And if it don't apply, let it fly. "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to...
No one is born "Christian" because it is not part of our family of origin. In fact, to be Christian is to be born again into the origin of God's family and this is the Lord's doing. "But as many as received Him, to them He gave...
Comparative Analysis: Christianity vs. Islam Revelation and Textual Integrity: The Bible vs. The Quran • Muhammad claimed to have received revelations from the angel Gabriel for about 23 years, starting in 609 AD. The result was a sea of contradictions...
I cannot be hesitant to lend my opinion to the current cultural discussion that is taking place via media sources. My faith calls me to do so—and I hope when I speak that I always speak with the love of Christ. I try to keep it real-- my “Volume Up” videos hold nothing back. My past blogs never stuttered when it came to presenting truth. So considering the recent Supreme Court ruling regarding the institution of marriage, I biblically, practically, and mathematically have a response. You see, the hashtag used to celebrate this monumental law change, #LoveWins, makes me ask the question: Does love really win? Ok, I get it. Man’s personal application of love seemingly won, but....
The weather has been pretty suspicious lately rapidly moving from random and sporadic thunderstorms to hail falling from the sky to tornadoes touching down. Sometimes the weather forecast seems to be inconsistent, yet most of the time, we are still able to discern what’s coming by way of satellites and maps. And that reminds me of the words of Jesus as He rebukes the religious folk for asking for a sign from heaven. He sharply says, “Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times” (Matthew 16:3). So how is it we can discern the face of the sky, but not discern....
The human body is a resilient instrument and can sustain a substantial amount of trauma. But, one of the most vulnerable organs is the heart--if it takes an intense hit-- the likelihood that the body will shut down is imminent. And that is what is known as a heart attack, where an inadequate supply of oxygen causes an area of the heart muscle to die, radiating and destroying other parts of the body. And while a physical heart attack can be fatal, quite the opposite occurs when the heart of God (His people) are attacked--it then proves to be resilient and full of mercy. God’s blood drips forgiveness as exhibited by the victims of those connected to the recent cold blood......
(continued from previous iBLOG—"Up On Stage") ….After thanking the appropriate parties for the invitation to be at the graduation ceremony, I transitioned to the reason I was requested to deliver the keynote in the first place; To remind the graduates how every decision they will make from this point forward will determine their destinies. So I thought, what would I tell the senior graduating version of myself? Hmmm, if I could go back and tell myself 5 of the most consequential truths that I have learned through my journey of transitions, what would I share? All of which came to light in my heart and mind in the darkness of prison. All of which were learned through trouble. But trouble that God trusted me with. Graduates…..
