Hopelessness is not a set of circumstances. Hopelessness is failing to set your eyes on God through your circumstances. You see, with eyes on Jesus, hope rises in us. "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit" (Romans 15:13).

Whatever is under God's control is never out of control. And although life may seem hectic, when you know God's got it, you begin living with an eternal perspective. "Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth" (Colossians 3:2).

In light of this crisis, let us not forget who Christ is. He is the never-changing God in an ever-changing world; and in Him alone, we find security through uncertainty. "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever" (Hebrews 13:8).

A fearful world needs to see a fearless Christian. You see, while the world is drenched in worry around us, the believer needs to wring out the peace of Jesus. "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything...

It is very hard to convince someone of the Gospel when you've already convinced them of gossip. Rule of thumb: If you can't say it to them, it is probably best not to say it about them. "Let no corrupt word....

God majors in healing the hurt of the heart. But He won't heal any area that we don't reveal. You see, if we don't give Him access, He can't start the process. "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3).
