You may still be in a storm, but the moment you learn to be still in the storm is the very moment you'll hear Him in the storm. "He calms the storm, so that its waves are still" (Psalm 107:29).

Fear and faith cannot occupy the same space. Fear says, "I am perishing because of this trial." Faith says, "I know God is prospering me through this trial." You see, if the devil can get you to fear, he can get you to fail. But with faith in its rightful place, God’s plan in your life will prevail. Choose faith over fear.

The Father’s love extends to both the law-breaker and the law-keeper. Both are equally sinners and both equally need a Savior. Because for every lost sinner there is only one seeking Savior. "For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost" (Luke 19:10).

It may be too late to reverse the consequences of your disobedience. But it is never too late to reverse your mind with repentance. You see, even though the "prodigal son" was knee deep in sin, because of God's amazing grace, he was not too far gone to come back home and be reinstated as a son. "And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion" (Luke 15:20).

Every other “god” in this world requires sacrifice. But the God of the Word became a sacrifice for us. Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God. "For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed His life, shedding His blood" (Romans 3:25).

When we keep company with Jesus, we change the company we keep. Why? Because salt always influences that which it touches and light always illuminates that which it reaches. “You are the salt of the earth...You are the light of the world" (Matthew 5:13-16).
