Faithfulness to Jesus has always carried a cost. From the first-century martyrs to Columbine, and now to Charlie Kirk, some in America have sealed their testimony with blood. Not all are called to die for Christ, but all are called to live faithfully for Him each day. Martyrs may lose their breath, but they never lose their crown. “Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life" (Revelation 2:10).
Nothing about your life is a mistake. If God allowed it, that's because He wants to develop your character through it and also because He wants to use it.
Don't hide your fractures nor cover up your bruises, for both are the ingredients that God uses. You see, God looks to launch His grace through our brokenness and weakness, so that His strength would be obvious.
The Gospel is not just information that confronts the mind. The Gospel is a Person who transforms the heart. Jesus is the only One who can deconstruct the twisted soul and reconstruct it into something whole. Make no mistake, nothing in this world is more powerful than the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
When you are open to do more for God, He will be open to do more through you. You see, what is required isn't great talent, but great intent. Meaning, be simply willing to show up so that God can supremely show out. God will do great things through the individual who allows Him.
No sin, no shame, no past, no pain....know Jesus. Do you know the One who died for your sin and shame, the only One who can redeem your past and pain? Do you know Jesus personally? Again, when you know Jesus, you know peace.
If you only see your own pain, you'll never see God's perfect plan.
A line has indeed been crossed. It happened so quickly you might not have seen it, but you can feel it. And it is being felt in a very real way. The spiritual darkness upon our land is the direct result of godless people and policies that have brought America to her knees....
The problem with our country is NOT that evil or darkness has entered every facet of our every day culture. No! I believe the evil and darkness are a direct result of goodness and light failing to stand up and stand out within our culture. You see, evil can only triumph when good men choose to do nothing. And darkness can only prevail when light is not present. The Bible declares, “the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it” (John 1:4). The LIGHT SHINES (present). The DARKNESS DID NOT (past). The victory has already been won; yet, it appears we are living in defeat. Nonsense! The darkness did not comprehend.....
Ever heard the saying, “I’m not perfect.” I hope so, because if you’re human than you probably used it. But that’s not the excuse I’m offering today. Not when you know the root of such a saying can be an excuse for the absence of accountability. Please allow me to explain. When I was in prison, we ran a Bible study on my tier. This fellowship time was not only the pulse of the housing unit, but it was also the bulls- eye of those who didn’t attend. Many would sit on the outskirts listening, curious about the mechanisms of a Bible study. Some would sit secluded in their areas ignoring the content being shared, but still aware of.....
--journal, March 2010, from prison-- How can we ever possibly think this life is hard compared to what Jesus went through? Fully God and fully human. He felt everything we feel, yet lived without sin. Jesus left his home in heaven to live on earth. He experienced the eternal pleasures of His kingdom, yet he decided to take on the discomfort of our slums, for what? For God so loved the world (John 3:16). I cannot be hesitant to lend my opinion to the current cultural discussion that is taking place via media sources. My faith calls me to do so—and I hope when I speak that I always speak with the love of Christ. I try to keep it real-- my “Volume Up” videos hold nothing back. So considering the recent Supreme Court ruling regarding the institution of marriage, I biblically, practically, and mathematically have a response.
