You’ll find two types of blogs here: long-form (Blog) & short-form (Daily Dose).
The world will try to pull your eyes to the chaos, but the Word calls you to fix your eyes on Christ. Stability isn’t found in the absence of storms, it’s found in the presence of the Savior who never changes. Keep your focus where your footing is firm. "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You" (Isaiah 26:3).
The Apostate Church is alive and from hell. Its sole purpose is to counterfeit the Gospel and contort the truth of the Bible. You see, since deception and delusion are at an all time high, the true Church needs to courageously hold the line. And by the way, you can...
Without affliction, we often don’t change our direction. As David wrote, “Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey Your word” (Psalm 119:67). In other words, God will allow an affliction to grace our lives in order to move us closer to His life.
On the cross, love won. On the cross, sin is gone. On the cross, redemption started. On the cross, death was thwarted. On the cross, He bore our shame. On the cross, He knew our name. On the cross, Oh what a Savior. On the cross, no grace is...
The very One the world wants dead is the only One who died for the world. You see, the mob today still yells "crucify Him" in the way they reject the One True God. And yet, though the world rejects the Lord, that doesn't stop how the Lord...
What happened between man's greatest evil against God (the crucifixion) and God's greatest good for man (the Resurrection)? Jesus took our sin and shame to the deepest grave, He conquered death and made a way for all the world to...
Jesus spoke words of grace from the cross of shame. He said, "Father forgive them" even as we hung Him. In other words, there is no failure of ours that will ever speak louder than the character of God. His forgiveness is greater than our sinfulness. Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do” (Luke 23:34).
I can’t stop thinking about the No Kings protests, not just the intentions of it, but what was revealed by it.At its core, it was never about Trump; it was about rebellion against any higher authority, both political and divine. Their cry of No Kings echoes Psalm2:3, “Let us break their bonds in pieces and cast away their...
Suffering is often misunderstood, but that’s because we fail to see how God uses it for our good. Jesus learned obedience through suffering (Hebrews 5:8), so how much more must we heed to suffering in order to simply learn. Think about it. We suffer little by little each day, as aging brings us closer to death. So if I already know I’m going to die, shouldn’t I be learning obedience with each and every breath? The problem is not death however, because in Christ you shall never die; but the problem is how we miss the opportunity to have life abundant before “death” by complaining our way to death. Man essentially....
I just got home from church and outside of my place was a retired Easter basket. I say "retired" because you can tell it served its purpose for that one day of the year--Easter Sunday--to hold the contents of chocolate and other choice Easter candies. But now, this basket that once held goodies is presently holding emptiness. It was only "filled up" for the day, and sadly, so it seems, it did not live...
John 3:16! I know you know it because it is one of the most recited, googled, and memorized verses in the entire Bible. It can be seen in the backdrop of some of the largest sporting events as a sign or even etched on fans as face-paint (inspired by Tim Tebow of course). I mean, even nonbelievers know something about John 3:16, maybe not by memory, but most likely by summary. Yet for the believer, has the familiarity of this verse caused the...
In Second Timothy 3:16, it is written, “all Scripture is given by inspiration of God.” The word inspiration in Greek means, “God-breathed.” In other words, when we get into the Bible, it is God’s breath that is able to get into us. His Word in us gives us “room to breathe” (which is one definition of the word....
