FROM THE KEYBOARD

Spoiler Alert: God is behind the scenes, and He controls the scenes He is behind. In other words, there is no circumstance outside of His providence. "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet" (Matthew 24:6).

Chaos and disorder come when God is not allowed to be God in the life of a man or woman. Let God be God and peace will be the byproduct of His presence. "You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You" (Isaiah 26:3).

The true believer sits in the way of Christ, stands on the truth of Christ, and walks according to the life of Christ; for there is no other way, truth, or life except for the way, the truth, and the life of Christ. In Christ the solid rock we stand, for ALL other ground is sinking sand. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6).

The news might tell us what's happening in our world, but only the Word of God can tell us why it's happening. And knowing the "why" may not change the seriousness of such events, but it certainly can bring peace and clarity to our faith.

Those who are looking for Christ are living for Christ. And those looking for Him know what doesn't look like Him. Thus, true devotion keeps us from deception. "And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name,saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many" (Matthew 24:4-5).

With Cain disguised as Abel and wolves disguised as sheep, one can only discern the difference by watching what is reaped. You see, we will know frauds by their fruit, so keep your head on a swivel and your heart grounded by the Gospel. (See Matthew 7:15-20)
