One of the enemy’s greatest tactics is not merely to make you sin, it is to make you forget who you are. If he can confuse your identity, he can influence your direction. The world says, “Look within and discover yourself.” God says, “Look to Me and lose yourself.” Your identity is not found in your feelings, failures, successes, past, or the opinions of others. If you belong to Christ, your identity is settled. You are not who the world says you are, you are who God says you are. "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17).
