There is only one thing more painful than waiting on the Lord, and that is not waiting on the Lord. You see, to wait on the Lord may bring a weight upon our soul, but such weight is also the necessary force that strengthens our faith while we wait. Conversely, when we don't wait...

God's plan is ordered perfectly and it's perfectly in order. In other words, the perfect plan of God is not deterred by the imperfect plans of man. In fact, even in the midst of chaos and disorder, God's counsel brings peace and stands forever. "The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations" (Psalm 33:11).

Jesus may “get us” in the sense that He was God who became Man. But we will never get Him if we don’t come to Him as the Man who was God. In other words, He may “get us,” but He died so that we would get Him. Anything less is not the Gospel. (See Hebrews 4:15; John 14:6)

The more we experience the impact of the Gospel, the more we will glorify God through triumph or trial. You see, if we believe the Gospel to be true, then we will live to be true to the Gospel. This means that our lives will be aimed at giving the Lord glory through every part of life. "I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify Your name forevermore" (Psalm 86:12).

There is no promotion without heaven’s permission. And promotion isn't always about moving up the proverbial ladder, but it could also be moving down to become a spiritual leader. Whether it's Joseph going from the prison to the palace or it's Moses going...

The grace of God is the force of salvation, where God gives us His presence. And the peace of God is the fruit of salvation, where God grounds us in His promises. Grace grows us in the presence and knowledge of Christ, while peace guards us through the power and promises of Christ. "Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord..." (2 Peter 1:2-4).
