Spiritual maturity doesn’t develop over time, it develops over trials. And wisdom doesn't come with chronological progression of age, it comes with biblical devotion to applying knowledge. You see, what makes one mature and wise is how they respond to life under the inspiration of Christ. "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding" (Proverbs 9:10).

Don't be surprised when your faithfulness to the Lord brings out the hatefulness of the world. You see, integrity often offends a world in bondage. "Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you" (I John 3:13).

Spend time today thanking God for what you have and don't have. If you have it, God gave it. If you don't have it, God knows you don't need it. "In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" (I Thessalonians 5:18).

When God is looking for His leaders, He is not looking for intellectual heads or capable hands, He is looking for humble hearts. "For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him" (2 Chronicles 16:9).

A blameless heart seeks to please God in all things and offend Him in none. "Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord" (Psalm 119:1).

God has called the man to be the rubber-band of provision and protection around his home. And if the enemy can displace the man, then the enemy can snap that band. Because when the man is out of place, the whole family suffers. Therefore, it is crucial as a man to not only be in the rightful place of your calling, but it is paramount to steadfastly call upon the Lord for the strength to keep you from falling.
