Sometimes the loudest opposition comes not from strangers, but from those who once stood nearby. Paul knew what it felt like to be abandoned, opposed, and falsely accused, but he never stopped standing on truth. When people pull away, God still pulls through. When others work against you, the Word still works in you. “At my first defense no one stood with me, but all forsook me. May it not be charged against them. But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me...” (2 Timothy 4:16–17a).
