You’ll find two types of blogs here: long-form (Blog) & short-form (Daily Dose).
There’s a spiritual war raging behind the scenes of what we see in the world. Revelation 12 reminds us that Satan isn’t just attacking nations, he’s targeting God’s redemptive plan and those who belong to Christ. But the victory is already won through the blood of the Lamb. Today, live like a conqueror in Christ: speak truth, stand firm, and don’t back down in the face of pressure. “And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought…” (Revelation 12:7).
Since God's Word is our authority, we should speak it without apology. This is not a license to be rude, this is a license to speak truth. "Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth" (Jeremiah 1:9).
The only way to dismantle lies is to rightly handle the word of truth. You see, without a proper handle on truth, one can easily be handed over to a lie. "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15).
Hands that reform are beneficial. But hearts that repent are crucial. You see, unless hearts return to the Lord, nothing will change in our land. "The instant I speak concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, to pull down, and...
God never leaves Himself without a witness. And He never leaves that witness without His presence. You see, these are the voices in the wilderness who are holy committed to pointing to Jesus. "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God" (Isaiah 40:3).
God often uses our deepest pain as the launching pad to our greatest calling. You see, He does His greatest work through broken vessels, not golden vases. "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us" (2 Corinthians 4:7).
It's not "good fortune" but God's favor that works things together. You see, good things don't just work out, but rather, it is God who works things out for good. "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28).
Christian, use your brain. I’m not talking to the world; I’m talking to true believers. Discernment isn’t just a spiritual gift; it’s a spiritual discipline. It’s forged through...
"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy" --MLK jr. The believer must refuse to allow injustice to speak louder than integrity. Because most of the time even the most eloquent words won't be heard over the ignorant majority. Nonetheless, godly character always endures the conflict of the enemy, solely because the heart knows that what's eventually coming is called GLORY! Truth always marches on.
I’ve had so many people tell me they are “glad my life has worked out the way it has.” Thanks! I am too. However, if I am going to be honest with you, I have to be the first to say how things haven't "worked out for me" randomly. But it is God who has worked things out for me purposefully. Nothing I am doing today has happened overnight, the same way a 100-meter sprinter....
You never really know how much someone is hurting. It’s impossible to see what is happening on the inside because it is human nature to create defensive dams on the outside to keep our intensive tears from breaking through like a faulty floodgate. Sometimes you can sense pent-up pain, but you can’t feel it compassionately unless you are allowed to touch it, and like a raw nerve that is exposed, it must be diagnosed and treated before one can get a sense.......
My sentencing day January 7th, 2010, came fast. Each day leading up to it was like the rushing sands in an hour glass pouring non-stop reminders that soon it would be empty and reckoning day was near; time flew by from Thanksgiving spilling right into Christmas. The holidays, with all their promise of hope and glad tidings, seemed mechanical and surreal. I felt detached; indifferent. The warm and fuzzy reminders of past family gatherings only added to the strain of going through the motions, putting on a face of hope, when all real enchantment was gone. In addition, this time of the year always brought to our remembrance the life of my brother who passed away....
