You’ll find two types of blogs here: long-form (Blog) & short-form (Daily Dose).
Some opportunities don’t come again. Just as Paul sensed winter approaching and called for urgency, when God prompts your heart, act quickly. Delayed obedience can be disobedience in disguise. Discern what season you're in right now and do what the Spirit is leading you to do. “Do your utmost to come before winter" (2 Timothy 4:21).
As unrepentant man maligns the Name of God, we must seek to magnify the Name of God. You see, their rebellion against Him shouldn't silence our worship of Him. "Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name; worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness" (Psalm 29:2).
We are presented blameless because the Lamb of God took the blame for us. In other words, Christ became the scapegoat so that we could escape guilt. "Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy" (Jude 24).
If we don't cling to what is good, what is not good will cling to us. Thus, let us "abhor what is evil, and cling to what is good" (Romans 12:9).
Christ took the rags of our wretchedness and wrapped us in the robe of His righteousness. He knew not sin and yet He became sin so we could be saved in Him. "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him" (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Repentance isn't rehearsed. No. It is a heart and mind that is reversed. In other words, the sign of a changed heart and mind is a changed life. And you can't fake that. "Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance" (Matthew 3:8).
Coming to Christ will bring your soul to heaven, while staying in Christ will bring heaven to your soul. You see, true saving faith rolls over to abiding faith. "Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him" (Colossians 2:6).
Christian, use your brain. I’m not talking to the world; I’m talking to true believers. Discernment isn’t just a spiritual gift; it’s a spiritual discipline. It’s forged through...
And the snow keeps on falling, like the pain does from my mind to my heart. I think about this particular month six years ago and those memories in mind trickle down to the chambers of my heart. It’s a slow fall, similar to snow fall, but its landing isn’t as soft. You see, the prison of pain that pushes with passion hits me harder than “the story” that I tell about the pain. I go around and share my story to audiences of all ages and backgrounds, and while my words attempt to explain it, they will never do the justice of.....
I have to admit, I get frustrated when someone doesn't do something the way I would. And initially, I actually think that my emotional fatigue is justified. I actually believe I have a warrant to be impatient with somebody else's performance…or lack thereof. You'd think that after ALL I have been through that I would be the most patient and understanding person around – especially with others. And the truth is.....
The voice of faith can change any situation! True, genuine faith. When we speak out our #iCONVICTION, we are speaking the language of heaven. Ever wonder why God moves in some people’s lives and not others? It’s because of the different languages spoken out and which voices we tune into or choke out. When following God’s voice in your life (Remember, He said “Follow Me”), you can be sure that opposition will abound. Even in the midst of a storm and in-between the thundering crackling and lightening striking, if you use.....
Raise your hand in the air if you love Jesus! Well, that’s not exactly the question I asked to get the students to raise their hands. Not because I don’t want to publicize the gospel of grace, but only because I am not allowed to evangelize in the public school place. At least not with the outright message, but I do it with my social media messages that I write out. You see, if I can get the students to follow me outside of the school system, then I can introduce them to the only One who makes me cool through His wisdom—“wisdom is justified by her children” (Matthew 11:19)—Cool and composed as I present to the youth, but also cool as in hip like a rappers rhymes in the booth. I’m not “bigging” myself up, but I am.......
