Having faith in Christ does not remove the unknowns of life from our life, but it does provide us with a Person to rest in while going through them. "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1).

When your mouth speaks the Gospel unadulterated and your life is gospel-regulated, yes, you will open yourself up to being persecuted. As Christ was, so we will! "Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution" (II Timothy 3:12).

If it is from God's hand, then it won't pull you away from God's heart. You see, what the Lord gives us is always designed to draw us closer to Himself. "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning" (James 1:17).

God's will doesn't promise to be easy, it simply promises to be best. And since He knows what is best for us, let us trust Him to lead us where He needs us. "I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your Law is within my heart" (Psalm 40:8).

God is willing to use anyone who is willing to be used. "Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths" (Psalm 25:4).

Sometimes the favor of God will keep you from getting fired and sometimes it will lead you into the fire. Yet, both cases come with the peace and presence of Jesus. “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God" (Daniel 3:25).
