You’ll find two types of blogs here: long-form (Blog) & short-form (Daily Dose).
Worry borrows tomorrow’s problems but spends today’s peace. The weight we imagine for the future often crushes our joy in the present. But God doesn’t ask us to carry tomorrow, He invites us to cast every care onto Him today. “Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7).
There is no bread that sustains like the Bread of Life; nor is there any water that can quench like the living water of Christ. In Him, we are full. And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst" (John 6:35).
The Good Shepherd will lead you where He needs you. Whether beside the "still waters" to still you or to the green pastures to fill you. "The Lord is my shepherd;I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters" (Psalm 23:1-2).
The cross doesn't give us a license to sin. The cross shows us the destruction of sin and the salvation offered by the Son. You see, to adore the Son is to abhor sin. "For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace" (Romans 6:14).
Our faith in God needs to be greater than our fear of man. You see, when we are intimate with the Lord, we will not be intimidated by any fear in this world. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" (II Timothy 1:7).
Understanding the Word of God means nothing unless we are also standing under the God of the Word. You see, knowing should lead to showing and hearing should lead to doing. "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves" (James 1:22).
Those whose names are written in heaven need not be stricken by fear on earth. "Rejoice because your names are written in heaven" (Luke 10:20)
On Labor Day weekend, I’ll begin a new teaching series at Landmark Church titled “The Last Revelation: Countdown To The Kingdom.” For the past several months, I’ve been studying, praying, and seeking the Lord in preparation for what He desires to...
I know it’s a New Year and time to move forward, but let’s do so by understanding that the way forward is at best, backwards. It’s called “Backwards Theology” and it makes up the blueprint of God’s economy. Consider this: you’ll never understand the depth of faith that is obtained through suffering until you suffered through to know faith. It’s how one can....
For the Christian it's acceptable to pack up your Christmas decorations and lights, but don't you dare pack up Jesus' influence over your life. You see, if you celebrated His birth yesterday, then let His life be the catalyst of your today. We err greatly when we pack up and put away the “work of God.” Faith isn’t to be
It’s about that time really. Time to remind myself about some serious declarations. Before the new calendar year changes, of course. Before the count down turns into a count up of sorts. Alright, first things first—it’s important to understand that there should be only one day on all of our calendars. And that’s TODAY! Not yesterday or tomorrow, but....
This Thursday, December 15th, will be eleven years since my oldest brother John David Maher, Jr. passed to the other side of death--which is really where true life exists. My family and I rejoice in this anniversary for the testimony opportunities it produces for faith to prove itself real. Even all this time later, I'm not only able to pull from this experience and share about...
