You’ll find two types of blogs here: long-form (Blog) & short-form (Daily Dose).
Gratitude turns what we have into enough, because it shifts our focus from what’s missing to Who is present. A thankful heart sees God’s hand in both plenty and in pain, and finds peace in His provision. When we practice gratitude, lack loses its grip and contentment takes its place. “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
What's the point of Scripture? Answer: To know the Savior. You see, information may come when you know the Bible. But true life transformation comes when you know the Author. "You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me" (John 5:39).
There is no bread that sustains like the Bread of Life; nor is there any water that can quench like the living water of Christ. In Him, we are full. And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst" (John 6:35).
The Good Shepherd will lead you where He needs you. Whether beside the "still waters" to still you or to the green pastures to fill you. "The Lord is my shepherd;I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters" (Psalm 23:1-2).
The cross doesn't give us a license to sin. The cross shows us the destruction of sin and the salvation offered by the Son. You see, to adore the Son is to abhor sin. "For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace" (Romans 6:14).
Our faith in God needs to be greater than our fear of man. You see, when we are intimate with the Lord, we will not be intimidated by any fear in this world. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" (II Timothy 1:7).
Understanding the Word of God means nothing unless we are also standing under the God of the Word. You see, knowing should lead to showing and hearing should lead to doing. "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves" (James 1:22).
On Labor Day weekend, I’ll begin a new teaching series at Landmark Church titled “The Last Revelation: Countdown To The Kingdom.” For the past several months, I’ve been studying, praying, and seeking the Lord in preparation for what He desires to...
I want to encourage the person who thinks they're insignificant. I want to let you know that you are more than valuable, you are irreplaceable. There is nobody like you. Non-negotiable. God has already bought you, which proves that He has a purpose for you. If you were the only person left on the face of the earth, God still would have sent His Son to redeem you with His death. You were created in the image of God, making you the vision of God. He saw you...
This is the BLUF! “The Bottom Line Up Front” that is the complete opposite of the worldly bluff and the only pursuit that is integrity tough. It’s the only “business” that matters in life; not that other projects aren’t important, but this projection is more than a financial investment and comes with the only forecast that is eternally relevant. So what that we build earthly kingdoms that help the world around us! What about the day that work is presented to the Father above us? What will actually pass....
“Do you not realize that all the events of your life for the past five or ten years were ordered by God for your education? If you murmured and complained, you have grievously failed to recognize His hand. If you thought you were just unfortunate and unlucky, you are ignorant of the Holy Spirit’s discipline. Remember that whatever happens to us is measured by the hand of God for our supreme good. Although we might not choose it, God knows what....
Sometimes we don’t see because we are simply not looking. And sometimes God tests our “I” so that our eyes will become open to what He has before us. We become so entrenched in the circumstances around us that we miss the relief, which is divinely before us…but we must be sure to “stop and look both ways.” Upward by faith and forward by grace. Action is good and all, but if our motivation is misled....
