You’ll find two types of blogs here: long-form (Blog) & short-form (Daily Dose).
The devil’s accusations stop where the blood of Jesus starts; and hell’s fury can’t outrun Heaven’s victory. Stay covered by the blood, anchored in the Word, and fearless in your testimony. "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death" (Revelation 12:11).
Our greatest need is met when we realize Jesus is all we need. "God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Phil 4:19).
This world may be trying to push God out of it, but don't you dare let it push God out of you. Therefore, stand firm against the godless pressure by fully resting in God's power. "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes" (Romans 1:16).
Our sin is a lot darker and uglier than we think. And God's grace is a lot greater and glorious than we know. Repent from the former; rejoice in the latter. "But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more..." (Romans 5:20).
Contrary to the word of faith movement, you don't claim your healing, the Healer claims you. You see, faith isn't built on our word but taking God at His Word. "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ" (Romans 10:17).
Let us be more concerned with living righteous than proving we are right. You see, God calls us to defeat darkness not debate foolishness. "Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous" (I John 3:7).
It costs a candle nothing by lighting another candle. In other words, as Christians, the point of life is to point others to Christ. "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:16).
Comparative Analysis: Christianity vs. Islam Revelation and Textual Integrity: The Bible vs. The Quran • Muhammad claimed to have received revelations from the angel Gabriel for about 23 years, starting in 609 AD. The result was a sea of contradictions...
Raise your hand in the air if you love Jesus! Well, that’s not exactly the question I asked to get the students to raise their hands. Not because I don’t want to publicize the gospel of grace, but only because I am not allowed to evangelize in the public school place. At least not with the outright message, but I do it with my social media messages that I write out. You see, if I can get the students to follow me outside of the school system, then I can introduce them to the only One who makes me cool through His wisdom—“wisdom is justified by her children” (Matthew 11:19)—Cool and composed as I present to the youth, but also cool as in hip like a rappers rhymes in the booth. I’m not “bigging” myself up, but I am.......
Sarah and I were recently in NYC for an event in conjunction with the NBA All-Star Weekend. Other than the bitter cold weather conditions, the climate of the “meet and greet” was fashionably attractive. Being in the midst of athletes like Terrell Owens, NBA great Isaiah Thomas, a few current Green Bay Packer’s, and a former Philadelphia Eagle, as well as NYC models and music artists, Sarah and I mingled like we belonged; even though we didn’t. I mean, Sarah was the prettiest there, and I was, well, the most infamous there, but we were still.....
Let’s not get things twisted—but it’s time to see the grey. A Christ-centered individual doesn’t condemn and contort things, but he does have the responsibility to humbly and carefully expound on things. So, please understand I’m not attacking anyone’s character, but I am trying to expose the innate danger of the erotic persuasion luring many to a false sense of what true love looks like: and it’s not in the pictorial of Fifty Shades of Grey. I don’t need to read a book to know that the ideas being idealized are harmful and morally bankrupt. Just as I don’t need to put....
“A mans gift makes room for him and brings him before great men” (Proverbs 18:16). In other words, blessed is the man who realizes his gift is from God and that God is the one who makes the room for him to stand before great men…or even better-- to stand before children. This past Sunday jumpstarted a series of speaking (and writing) engagements for me, that truly highlights the truth of the above proverb. Having the blessed opportunity to speak about “David and Goliath” to the children’s church at Cape Fellowship in Cape May Court House, really brought a tangible joy to what God has called me to do. Seeing such childlike sincerity.....
