You’ll find two types of blogs here: long-form (Blog) & short-form (Daily Dose).
Worry borrows tomorrow’s problems but spends today’s peace. The weight we imagine for the future often crushes our joy in the present. But God doesn’t ask us to carry tomorrow, He invites us to cast every care onto Him today. “Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7).
Living joy and lasting peace cannot be found apart from having a relationship with Christ. In Him we acquire an enduring hope that this world cannot offer. "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit" (Romans 15:13).
In a world filled with so many uncertainties, let us cling to the King of Eternity. He not only knows the end from the beginning, but He also holds the final word over everything. "The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, and His kingdom rules over all" (Psalm 103:19).
The Christian is to be conditioned by the truth of Scripture, not by the trends of culture. Again, we are to be so primed by the Shepherd that we are not prone to wander. "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me" (John 10:27).
There is no sin, no shame, no past, and no pain when you know Jesus. You see, He not only died for our sin and shame, but He is the only one who can redeem our past and our pain. Do you know Him?
Sinners don't need good advice, they need the Good News of Jesus Christ. For ALL have sinned and are dead in it, which means ALL need a Savior in order to rise from it. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
Whatever we take in will be what we live on. In other words, whether it's the truth of the Word or the lies of the world, we will be fueled by what we are fed by. Thus, let us guard the gate of our heart from compromise and...
On Labor Day weekend, I’ll begin a new teaching series at Landmark Church titled “The Last Revelation: Countdown To The Kingdom.” For the past several months, I’ve been studying, praying, and seeking the Lord in preparation for what He desires to...
I, again, am writing at 30,000 feet in the air. It is currently a very bumpy flight and there is even a thickness of clouds that prevents you from being able to see the “sky-view” outside of the window. Oh how the view of the sky can be so beautiful. The picture and journey is perfect. You see, life is exactly like this airplane ride. You may not be able to see where you’re going in the moment, but because you’re on-board with the flight plan previously mapped out, you can be assured that you’ll eventually get to where you’re going. And even if there are bumps and turbulence along the way, you know such pressures come with flying, and in....
This is not my opinion. This is truth. And as such, it must be heeded, for truth isn’t something you can afford to hear and ignore. I know this from personal experience --knowing truth-- but failing to do truth. And usually, 100% of people who fail to heed truth will truthfully fail. Whether now or later, sandcastle kings will find out that the throne of their foundation is as unstable as the shifting sands. And when the waves of life crash upon that kingship, every captain of their own soul will be forced to abandon ship. Man-made...
Alright! This, by no means, is meant to stir up any opinions or arguments about the presidential election. Let’s get one thing straight, I am a convicted felon and as such, cannot vote until I am off of parole supervision. This is also not me picking apart any one candidate, and even if I did, who would actually care about my little old perspective anyway. This is, however, meant to stir up simple reason and...
Cold, hard concrete below my feet, but it feels like cotton when I’m on my knees. The surface doesn’t change, but the texture of my heart does. My circumstances may not change, but my conviction does. The hard people around me may not change, but how I see them softens for yet another day. Oh how desperately I need my prayer time as my life line. My morning manna. Speaking with Jesus in the cool of the morning before the heat of....
