You’ll find two types of blogs here: long-form (Blog) & short-form (Daily Dose).
Faith isn’t proven by getting what we want, but by trusting the Lord even when we don’t. Even when healing delays or the answer is “wait,” grace still holds us. Because sometimes God doesn’t remove the struggle, but He always stays with us in it. “Trophimus I have left in Miletus sick" (2 Timothy 4:20).
The Bible says to "trust in the Lord with all your heart" because He is trustworthy. Yet too many are trusting their own heart as lord, which leads to folly. “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; Who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9)
As Christians, we are to expect hate from the world, not for being weird, but for being about the Word. Jesus said, "If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you" (John 15:18).
What binds Christians together is not social, political, or racial compatibility, but rather spiritual compatibility. You see, the tie that binds is the cross and that is why true unity can only be found in Christ. "There is one...
A spiritual liar is often outwardly religious but inwardly ravenous. They will sell you a bill of goods, but they won't give you the will of God. Be watchful! “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but...
Religion says, "Do." Jesus says, "Done." Religion says, "Continue." Jesus says, "Come." Because the work was DONE by Him, we can find rest when we COME to Him.
The only movement that can truly unite people is the power of the Gospel. Because If Christ is not at the center, then the cause will do nothing but splinter. "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:28).
Comparative Analysis: Christianity vs. Islam Revelation and Textual Integrity: The Bible vs. The Quran • Muhammad claimed to have received revelations from the angel Gabriel for about 23 years, starting in 609 AD. The result was a sea of contradictions...
We’ve been married for exactly one month thus far, and I have to admit that I have learned so much from this “marriage seminar.” Here are a few “key” points that have helped me unlock my role as a husband. First of all, the spouse is not to be treated like a house. It is not your job to renovate or mold her, but rather learn to relate to her as you unfold her. You see, if I determine myself.....
A deposition on my own disposition. I'm usually one to bring a smile even if told to carry your weight and my weight for double a mile. Isn't that what Jesus instructed us to do? Yet lately I've been told that I'm "too serious" upon first view. And upon introspection and much reflection, I concur. I think I am more serious these days because......
You never really know what you got til it’s gone, or until it goes dormant! Either way, that statement is true in regards to so many areas of life--if not all areas of life-- especially talent. And participating in the Middle Township High School Soccer Alumni game this past weekend has me thinking about where I used to be in terms of my past profession. You see, when I was playing pro soccer for those seasons, I never really stopped to appreciate the ability that God had given me to be at that level. Instead of playing to give Him glory, I played to give myself glory. And pride always lifts you up for a fall......
My first Thanksgiving home and I am extremely grateful for where I am living. However, this Thanksgiving in particular--back in freedom--has me giving thanks for my past prison living. You see, for the past 4 years, my Thanksgiving was stripped of family, friends, and festivities. It was reduced to a mess-hall style meal, with canned cranberry as the most tasteful portion of the meal. Rubber turkey, watery mashed potatoes, and of course rice--even though it was supposed to be stuffing-- was served with every meal. For example, rice pudding was the dessert and the soup, just add water. In prison, you have to learn to love rice. Because hate it or love it, they are serving it. Anyway, as the traditional layers of Thanksgiving were completely peeled away.....
