God made us on purpose for a purpose. "On purpose" because He doesn't make mistakes and "for a purpose" because He wants our lives to highlight His great grace. "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them" (Ephesians 2:10).

The Gospel of Christ confronts us before it converts us. You see, if the flesh is not put to death, the spirit cannot walk in newness of life. "And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires" (Galatians 5:24).

A heart that is set upon the joy of heaven cannot be beset by the sorrow of earth. Oh sorrows will happen, but the joy of the Lord is our weapon. "Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength" (Nehemiah 8:10).

Stop trying to pray away the very trial God has sent your way. Instead, ask God to have His way within the trial by making you more like Him through the trial. "Count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing...

God's promises are much bigger than our problems. So instead of seeing the day through those problems, begin to see the day through His promises. He knows what you need and He has you where He needs...

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the shocking truth of how we have been lovingly accepted by a God whom we blatantly rejected. In other words, our reality is that we deserved death, yet Christ served us life. "Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1). ‍
