You’ll find two types of blogs here: long-form (Blog) & short-form (Daily Dose).
When we chase the wind, we end up empty. When we chase the Word, we end up full. The world offers noise; Christ offers nourishment. “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4).
God appraised your life priceless when He went to the cross and made you righteous. You see, the Father bankrupted heaven when He gave us the wealth of Jesus' life; we cannot add nor take away from this appraisal, for we have been bought with a price. The cross therefore, proves you are uniquely special to God.
God's peace for us is always in the present. So when we stress the future, peace can no longer be our governor. Therefore, let us not worry about what tomorrow may bring circumstantially. But let us hold our peace and trust that God is already there faithfully.
In order to be the hands of Jesus, one must know the heart of Jesus. His heart bleeds compassion over condemnation and desires to lift others up to grace, not push them down to shame. Thus, let us be His hands--ones that look to love--so that others can find His heart.
In God's economy, even a failure can be classified as a success when the failure draws you closer to the Savior. In other words, because of the chemistry of the cross, all things--even bad things--can be recycled to make a good thing.
The truth of what God thinks about you is more important than the lies that others may think about you. Thus, you can choose to either be devoured by the fear of man or you can choose to be empowered by the fear of the Lord, but you can't do both.
It is better to wake up in dark circumstances with God’s presence than to wake up alone in presumed light without God’s assurance or confirmation. Even in times of trial and darkness, when with God, the lessons and understanding are deeper in the dark than in the pretentious light.
On Labor Day weekend, I’ll begin a new teaching series at Landmark Church titled “The Last Revelation: Countdown To The Kingdom.” For the past several months, I’ve been studying, praying, and seeking the Lord in preparation for what He desires to...
Jesus' 7 last words uttered from the throne of the cross: "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do"(Luke 23:34). Mercy came out of Him, because that's what was truthfully inside of Him. Are we capable of doing the same, knowing that many people do not actually know what they do? And deeper, because Christ still says this....
People often ask me, "What is Proverbs 3:5-6" because they see it tattooed on my arm. And without any thought, I usually just recite it off the top of my dome like the Pledge of Allegiance, but rarely considering whether or not I am allegiant to that pledge. I think so many times we take familiar Bible verses just as words...
It is true that God doesn't trust everyone with the same "amount" of things-- such as talents or various treasures (resources). However, I am convinced that He does trust us all with the same amount of time. (A second, a minute, and a 24-hour day are the same in New Jersey as they are in New Guinea). And when.....
Many people will agree that there isn’t a more confused, bi-polar month, than the month of March. The familiar saying goes, “March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.” For me, the month will always conjure up a pent-up series of emotions that I will live with forever. It’s hard to believe it’s been 9 years...
