You’ll find two types of blogs here: long-form (Blog) & short-form (Daily Dose).
The world may mock your faith, and circumstances may test it, but those who wait on the Lord will never be put to shame. Disappointment comes when we trust in the wrong things—but God never fails those who hope in Him. “Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed; let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause” (Psalm 25:3).
Whether the answer to a prayer request is delayed or denied, we are still required to remain devoted to God. You see, our faith in Him should not be dependent upon what He gives but who He is. "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in...
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord…so are his stops…and so are his set-backs. And even when that person stumbles and falls, the Lord upholds them with His strong-arm. "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he...
Those who don’t have the breath of life should be terrified at the breadth of life. In other words, no one knows how much time they have on earth, for death comes just as sudden as birth. And without being honest about where we stand with Jesus Christ, we are playing Russian roulette with...
The church does not gather as a social club but she gathers for a spiritual cause. And the cause of the church is to advance the kingdom of heaven on earth. Thus, as citizens of heaven, the gospel of light is our primary weapon. Jesus said, "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill...
"Follow your heart" is terrible advice when the heart isn't following the Lord. In other words, you cannot be true to your heart when your heart is not true to you. Jeremiah says, "The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked." Thus, the heart cannot be true to you unless the heart has been made new by truth. "[Put off the old man] and put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him" (Colossians 3:9-10).
Abolishing the Department of Education isn’t an attack on teachers, nor is it a blanket judgment on every employee within the system. But let’s be honest—the results speak for themselves. Since the slow march of a Marxist, godless agenda through our institutions began, our children have paid the price. The U.S. Department of Education has...
I'm not religious and I'll tell you why. Religion is not a belief system, it is a system that conforms your belief. It is not “freedom,” it is spiritual slavery. Religion is restriction and that is why it means “bond” aka bondage. Yet, when we become religious, we are openly identifying ourselves with a hierarchy of man. A platform that has removed God. A majority of the Jesus’ enemies were religious...
Suffering is often misunderstood, but that’s because we fail to see how God uses it for our good. Jesus learned obedience through suffering (Hebrews 5:8), so how much more must we heed to suffering in order to simply learn. Think about it. We suffer little by little each day, as aging brings us closer to death. So if I already know I’m going to die, shouldn’t I be learning obedience with each and every breath? The problem is not death however, because in Christ you shall never die; but the problem is how we miss the opportunity to have life abundant before “death” by complaining our way to death. Man essentially....
I just got home from church and outside of my place was a retired Easter basket. I say "retired" because you can tell it served its purpose for that one day of the year--Easter Sunday--to hold the contents of chocolate and other choice Easter candies. But now, this basket that once held goodies is presently holding emptiness. It was only "filled up" for the day, and sadly, so it seems, it did not live...
John 3:16! I know you know it because it is one of the most recited, googled, and memorized verses in the entire Bible. It can be seen in the backdrop of some of the largest sporting events as a sign or even etched on fans as face-paint (inspired by Tim Tebow of course). I mean, even nonbelievers know something about John 3:16, maybe not by memory, but most likely by summary. Yet for the believer, has the familiarity of this verse caused the...
