Not every thought needs to be spoken and not every feeling needs to be suppressed. When words come too quickly, they wound. When they’re held in too long, they burn. The answer isn’t venting or bottling, it’s bringing it to God. When you fix your eyes on Him, your heart settles and your words follow. “Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips” (Psalm 141:3).
