The Word of God is timeless and timely at the same time. It not only transcends culture and doesn't change, but it also has the power to transform souls and bring lasting change. "The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul" (Psalm 19:7).

Faith isn't based on our ability. Faith is based on how we trust in God's ability. And when we place our faith in Christ, He then places His strength in us. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).

Stay focused! Every individual in the Bible that you admire has been through the fire. And God often uses the fire of a trial to burn off the dross of worldliness and forge us into the image and likeness of Jesus. "For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined" (Psalm 66:10).

The aim of Jesus Christ is not to reform the manners of society, but to change the hearts of sinners. Because a heart changed by the gospel will not be overcome by evil nor will it bow down to the idol of popular opinion. Again, the greatest need of the world is not man’s legislation, but God’s salvation.

The point of life is to point to Christ. So whatever it is that God has entrusted to you (time, talent, treasure, and even trouble), steward it heartily unto His glory. "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men" (Colossians 3:23).
