God may be silent but He's never absent. You see, sometimes His silence is a way to test our faith's resilience. Again, we may not hear Him, but He is always near us. It is this fact of faith that should under-gird our act of faith.

It is our faith in Christ that grants us access to God's throne room of grace. But our faith doesn't just bring us to Him, it also makes us more like Him. "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are...

Pray about everything. Literally. Because nothing is too large for God's omnipotence nor is anything too small for God's attentiveness. "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God" (Philippians 4:6).

Your petition to get more of God will be answered when God gets more of you. In other words, since He has already given us all of Himself in Christ, then we must decrease so He can increase in our life. "He must increase, but I must decrease" (John 3:30).

When you have Jesus Christ in your heart, it is possible to live in the land of affliction and not become a prisoner of it. Because where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty in spite of adversity. "Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty" (II Corinthians 3:17).
