You’ll find two types of blogs here: long-form (Blog) & short-form (Daily Dose).
Worry borrows tomorrow’s problems but spends today’s peace. The weight we imagine for the future often crushes our joy in the present. But God doesn’t ask us to carry tomorrow, He invites us to cast every care onto Him today. “Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7).
It's not about "what" you give to God, but "how" you give it. The widow gave Him 2 pennies, yet Jesus said her heart was worth eternity. In other words, it is the gold-filled heart that God desires, not a hand filled with gold.
Matthew Maher presents Daily Dose: Be careful of what you believe in and be mindful of the people you lean on. Be cautious of the voices you heed and be on guard with the sources you read. You see, nobody sets out to get lost nor do many ever consider the cost; But if you follow lies, it will always lead to a dead end. Thus, safe is the person who knows that truth is greater than trend. Jesus = Truth
Matthew Maher presents Daily Dose: Spoiler Alert! Peace will never exist regardless of who is President and has "control" of this land. But whoever declares Jesus as King and gives Him control, it is true peace that will exist in the soul of that man.
Matthew Maher presents Daily Dose: "The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe" (Proverbs 18:10). Some trust money and some trust fame, but I choose to trust in the strong Lord's Name.
Matthew Maher presents Daily Dose: Stand your ground boldly. Proclaim the truth openly. Follow God's Word obediently. Share the love of Jesus relentlessly. And with that, you'll be ready for war spiritually.
Matthew Maher presents Daily Dose: If you're waiting for this world to get better--NEWSFLASH--you're going to be waiting forever. So instead of calling for "social peace" and "political ease"--Wake up America!--We need to be protesting by prayer and hoping that many would come to repentance and be spared. So instead of arguing about "what lives matter" and trying to make sense of so many devastations, one would be wise to know that Jesus is the only peaceable answer to a world with belligerent questions.
On Labor Day weekend, I’ll begin a new teaching series at Landmark Church titled “The Last Revelation: Countdown To The Kingdom.” For the past several months, I’ve been studying, praying, and seeking the Lord in preparation for what He desires to...
I find it most remarkable that out of all the ways Jesus could have shown Himself to His disciples after His resurrection, one of the ways He chose was to deploy His wounds. He found it necessary to show them “His hands and His side” (John 20:20) as the evidence of His presence. Why would He do that? He could have shown Himself in bodily perfection, but instead He chose to show proof of His humiliation. His scars told the story....
"Dear Heavenly Father, so far today I am doing very well. I have not lied or complained. I have not looked down upon my neighbors nor have I gossiped about others. So far, so good Heavenly Father, but I know I am going to need Your utmost help for the rest of my day. I am asking You now for that guidance because I’m gonna have to get out of bed soon. Amen."
Yesterday was Palm Sunday, so consider this! Palms are one of the only trees that do not rely on outward conditions for inward stability. They survive in environments with overwhelming heat. Their reinforced bark bends with hurricane winds. Internally, they stay nourished by their root systems ability to draw solely and fully from that which is within the earth. Palm trees stay...
This blog is a contemplation from my newly-released book: "Imprisoned by Peace: A View Apart." Written in prison, the book contains 40 reflections that will strike a chord with anyone in need of a spiritual perspective to the natural events in our lives. There is much more to silence than meets the ear. I am around noise all day and all night....
