The Church doesn’t suppose what is true, the Church supports what is true. The Church is the pillar and ground of the truth. And her role in the world is to uphold the truth of God's Word as ambassadors of His Kingdom. "But if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth" (1 Timothy 3:14-15).

Man’s rule apart from God’s rules will always be unruly. It is only within the framework of God's Word where man can find purpose and peace. Without this foundation, man is no better than a beast. "A man who is in honor, yet does not understand, is like the beasts that perish" (Psalm 49:20).

Those without the harness of heaven (the Holy Spirit) will posture and position themselves against heaven. Whether directly or indirectly, the personal or global defiance that is underway is always about man forcing his own way. And that is why Satan’s primary strategy is to get us to think independently from God’s authority. "Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing?" (Psalm 2:1)

Truth brings freedom. Lies bring bondage. "Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:31-32).

Our lives need to be built on and bathed by the Word of God. It is our foundation unto faithfulness and our formation unto godliness. Without the Word of God as the strength to our roots and the health of our fruits, we will be like chaff driven by the wind. "He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. The ungodly are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away" (Psalm 1:3-4).

To neglect the gift that God gave you is to reject the grace that God gives you. In other words, when we don't use our talent as God intends it, we are not living out our eternal purpose. "As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God" (1 Peter 4:10).
