Those who mourn over their sin will find the mercy of the Son. And within the mercy of God is the miracle of God, that He would save a wretch like me. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted" (Matthew 5:4).

The work of God cannot happen through us unless it has first happened to us. You see, we can only show Christ when we intimately know Christ. "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me" (John 15:4).

Our faith rises or falls on whether we take God at His Word. "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17).

It's easy to say, "He is risen indeed." The real question is, "Is He risen in me?" "That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection" (Philippians 3:10).

Death didn't take Jesus, He in fact took death. And since "it is finished" by Him on the cross, our guilt and shame were taken from us in response. "Jesus said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit" (John 19:30).

Our theology of death determines how we live this life. You see, since Christ turned a tomb of death into a womb of life, then from the womb to the tomb, our life is hidden in His life. "For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God" (Colossians 3:3).
