Without the armor of God protecting our mind, we are more susceptible to spiritual lies. Thus, let us be vigilant to lift up the shield of faith so as to put down the devil's fiery darts. "Above all, take the shield of faith, which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one" (Ephesians 6:16).

The world may be able to slander God's Word, but it will never be able to slay God's Word. You see, His Word cannot be abolished and it will be accomplished. "So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it" (Isaiah 55:11).

God is going to lead you where He needs you, even when you can't see through what it is you're going through. "The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail" (Isaiah 58:11).

The devil is behind every contortion of truth. He subtly suggests evil is good and good is evil; and without knowing Scripture, man falls prey to this slander. "Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3:4)

When it comes to sin, doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results is not insanity, it's depravity. "As a dog returns to his own vomit, so a fool repeats his folly" (Proverbs 26:11).

When our hope is in the wrong deliverance, then what is delivered is hopelessness. Again, trust misplaced often leads to being disgraced. And that is why "some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God" (Psalm 20:7).
