When you have Jesus Christ in your heart, it is possible to live in the land of affliction and not become a prisoner of it. Because where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty in spite of adversity. "Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty" (II Corinthians 3:17).

We cannot pay our own debt on sin nor can we perform our way into heaven. The truth to be told, the devil has a lien on our life until we allow Jesus to pay our debt owed. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus.

Gods mercies are new today so you can leave your mistakes in your yesterday. In others words, God is so serious about new beginnings that He hardwired the necessity of sleep into us--night by night--so as to wake us up to His new mercies upon us--day by day.

When we gossip about others, we not only break the heart of God, but we quench the work of God in our hearts. So instead of using our tongues for gossip, let us use them as launchpads for the Gospel. Because when our hearts share the Gospel, the Gospel begins to shape our hearts.

Faith is knowing that when you can't, Jesus can.
